Crannage Gardens | Service Terms & Liability Disclaimer

Effective Date: March 26, 2026

By commissioning Crannage Gardens for any gardening, maintenance, or landscaping services, the Client acknowledges and automatically agrees to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all work undertaken, regardless of whether a formal contract has been signed.

1. General Agreement

Engagement of services, payment of a deposit, or a verbal/written instruction to commence work constitutes a binding agreement to this disclaimer in full.

2. Jet Washing & Surface Cleaning

While we use professional-grade equipment and take every precaution, the Client acknowledges that high-pressure water can reveal or exacerbate pre-existing flaws. Crannage Gardens is not liable for:

  • Damage to loose, aged, or improperly pointed mortar, grout, or "blown" rendering.

  • Splintering, stripping, or degradation of rotten, untreated, or weathered timber.

  • Water ingress to electrical outlets, vents, or fixtures that have not been adequately sealed by the Client prior to our arrival.

3. Mowing & Lawn Maintenance

The Client is responsible for clearing the work area of all debris—including rocks, metal, toys, cables, and pet waste—prior to the scheduled service. Crannage Gardens is not responsible for:

  • Damage to items left on the lawn.

  • Damage to equipment or property caused by hidden debris.

  • Minor "scalping" on uneven ground or lawn edges.

4. Landscaping & Plant Health

Crannage Gardens specializes in "middle-man" landscaping (turf, beds, decking, and sheds). Once turf, plants, or seeds are installed, the responsibility for ongoing care (specifically consistent watering and feeding) transfers immediately to the Client.

  • We provide no guarantee on the survival of living products once we leave the site, as their health is dependent on environmental factors and Client maintenance.

5. Underground Utilities & Obstructions

For any work involving digging, such as garden bed creation or fence/post installation, the Client must notify Crannage Gardens of any known shallow cables, pipes, or irrigation lines. We are not liable for damage to unmarked, unmapped, or improperly buried utilities.

6. Property Access & Safety

The Client must ensure safe access to the garden and keep children and pets clear of the work area while machinery is in operation. Crannage Gardens reserves the right to pause work if the environment is deemed unsafe.
